Monster Island, The Asylum’s 2019 mockbuster, was released at the same time as Godzilla King of the Monsters. It is about an island called Monster Island on which a monster might be found; the monster is, of course, Monster Island.


Because it is a film about asylums, it has (other) a budget that is comparable to a big kid's dinner. It uses this budget lightly, focusing only on the human characters and filming all the stars in one location during lunch. However, let's not forget that this is a kaiju film, and well... that's of of how they go, so maybe The Asylum won't perform too poorly?
